Call For Volunteers
Volunteerism is the engine that will make or break DALRC. As your Board of Directors works to wind up the business of 2009 we are beginning to make plans for 2010 and beyond. We have already begun to envision new areas where we might be able to offer services to our retirees, survivors of retirees, and folks who are disabled.
We make no pretense that we can be all things to all people, all of the time, or even some of the time. We are not clairvoyant, we don’t know what the future holds for our organization but we are confident we can have a bright future if we choose it and are willing to work for it. We believe we can have a direct and positive impact in the lives of the members of the Delta family who have moved beyond employment.
The Delta retirees are the group that built the largest airline in the world. If we can do that we can do just about anything we set our minds to doing. In the weeks and months ahead the Board will be developing a plan, a vision if you will, for the future of the organization. We are confident there will be a role in that future for anyone who wants to work on it.
Please give thoughtful consideration to sharing your talents with the rest of our family of retirees. If you would like to volunteer send a brief email to our volunteer coordinator, address below. Be sure to include your name, phone number, background and your area of expertise or interest.
We also encourage you to bring this call for volunteers to others who might be interested in serving as a DALRC volunteer.
The future of DALRC is as big as we, working together, care to make it.
